General Questions

1. Can I use the 诺基亚 Sensor application to communicate with non-诺基亚 Sensor phone users?
Not quite* as the majority of 诺基亚 Sensor features require both parties to have 诺基亚 Sensor installed and running. You can still send some simple Sensor messages and media files to phones and PDAs with Bluetooth wireless technology without the 诺基亚 Sensor application* but the software is much more useful and exciting when all parties have it running.

2. Can I use other Bluetooth wireless technology applications with 诺基亚 Sensor?
Yes* but keep in mind that using Bluetooth wireless technology for other simultaneous applications* including enhancements with Bluetooth connectivity* might have an effect on the performance of Sensor.

3. Do I reveal my phone number by communicating with other Sensor users?
Each active 诺基亚 Sensor user is identified based on a unique Bluetooth identification number assigned to their phone. This way* you can discover and communicate with other 诺基亚 Sensor users nearby without having to know their phone numbers. You can make your number visible in your folio if you choose* but this is not mandatory.

4. How do I change the language of my 诺基亚 Sensor application?
The 诺基亚 Sensor application is supported in approximately 12 languages. Select your language when downloading the installation .SIS file (see Download section). The installation file will probably contain more than one language. If your phone is set to one of the languages in the .SIS file* it will be automatically chosen.

If the installation process cannot find your currently set phone language in the installation file* you will be asked to choose among the available languages during the installation process.

Unfortunately* the 诺基亚 Sensor application does not automatically switch languages when you switch the language of your phone. To change languages you will have to reinstall the application. Go to the Download section to check if your language is supported. Then select the correct language file you want to install and install 诺基亚 Sensor again* 'on top of' your older 诺基亚 Sensor application (see Installation).

5. Does the use of 诺基亚 Sensor application shorten the battery life of my phone?
It might* depending on how you use it. Your phone consumes more power when you are calling than when you are not. Similarly* communicating with other 诺基亚 Sensor users will use up your battery faster than without such communication. If you are concerned with your battery's operating time* turn off automatic features as Sensor alert and Buddy alert to minimize power consumption.

6. How much memory does 诺基亚 Sensor require on my phone? I'm running out of memory!
After installation 诺基亚 Sensor and its middleware (’Proximity Toolkit’) consumes approximately 1.3 MB. In addition to this* more memory space may be required as you may gradually accumulate content in My Collection* Message log* Guestbook* and so on. The size of such data varies depending on the content (such as whether they contain images or not) so estimations are difficult to give. If your phone is running out of memory but you do not want to lose 诺基亚 Sensor content permanently* use the ’Export content’ functionality to transfer 诺基亚 Sensor data to a compatible PC.
